So I am thinking I need to share a bit about myself, after all, you are here because you read something I wrote and it intrigued you enough to pause your leaving my blog for the moment.

I LOVE soccer. I think however, what I love more is what it is capable of, that the lessons one takes from the game, transcend the pitch. There is so much of the game that can be applied to other aspects of our lives. In my coaching, I try to guide players to make these connections and it always warms my heart when a player relates just how they were able to apply the lessons they learned from the pitch to a bothersome area of their life.

Right now, I am coaching  u15g,  u17g sides as well as a high school girls JV side. Each side has its own unique identity, its own quirks and its own rewards. I love every minute of it.

However, I would be remiss if I did not acknowledge just how much my life has been enriched each and every day from my involvement in the sport and the children that it brings into my life.  Each day brings its own challenges, its own situations and struggles and they have all pushed me beyond the construct of my life, to embrace the growth and constantly evolving  thing we all call life.

So, thank you for stopping in, I hope that what I have to say, has some relevance for you, that maybe it will give you a moments reflection and that you will leave me comments when you so feel.

till I see you on the pitch
